‘Art disrupts’, a lecture by Sigrid Merx

Dr Sigrid Merx (Media and Culture at Utrecht University) studied how artists use the city as a stage. In a reading organised by ‘Studium Generale’ entitled ‘Art disrupts’, Merx talks of how art on our streets makes us stop and think about the city. Verhoeven’s work is also addressed in the talk. Following on from the reading, Marloes ten Kate (programme maker) wrote a blog entitled ‘Confrontational art’.
